If you already have a bachelor’s degree but it’s not in accounting, UAB offers an accounting bridge certificate that provides the undergraduate accounting courses necessary to pursue a Master of Accounting degree. Regardless of your professional experience, you will need to complete all bridge courses. If you have a degree in business or you have taken undergraduate accounting courses, they may be applied as credit toward your bridge coursework. The bridge and master’s in accounting programs alone are not sufficient for someone to become a certified public accountant (CPA).
