*When planning for breaks, students should wait to make travel plans until they have their full class and exam schedules. Because sessions/exams could be rescheduled, students should not plan to leave "early" for break.

**Students who do not pass Fundamentals block(s) will be required to remediate during winter break. Students who do not pass an organ module course will be required to remediate during summer break. UME will determine which remediation date will apply to each course.

***The third year curriculum technically starts with clinical rotations in Block 6 of the MS2 year. While these courses are part of the MS3 curriculum, they fall under tuition and financial aid process for the 2nd year of medical school.

***Dates for courses in the Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum (Tuscaloosa Only) vary by student. The LIC has two terms. The first term starts in Block 6 of the MS2 year and ends in Block 2 of the MS3 year. The second Term starts in Block 3 and ends in Block 5.

**MS4 student schedules vary. MS4 students are permitted to have up to 12 weeks of unscheduled time in the first term and up to 10 weeks of unscheduled time in the second term.
