RSNA Research Scholar Grant
- Supports junior faculty members who have completed the conventional resident/fellowship training programs but have not yet been recognized as independent investigators.
- $75,000 annually for 2 years ($150,000 total) to be used as salary support.
- Requires a minimum of 40% effort.

RSNA Research Seed Grant
- Enables investigators to gain experience in defining objectives and testing hypotheses in preparation for major grant applications to corporations, foundations and governmental agencies. Up to $40,000 United States Dollars (USD) for a 1-year project to support the preliminary or pilot phase of scientific projects.
- Open to international applicants

ARRS Lee F. Rogers International Fellowship in Radiology Journalism
- The Rogers Fellowship is an award that provides 1 recipient per year with an opportunity to work closely with AJR editors and staff to learn the fundamentals of medical publishing.
- The successful candidates will each be awarded a maximum of $12,000 to cover travel and other expenses.
- Application Deadline: Early October
ARRS Melvin M. Figley Fellowship in Radiology Journalism
- Unlikely to give an award to more than one candidate per department per year
- The successful candidates will each be awarded a maximum of $10,000 to cover travel and other expenses.
- Application Deadline: Early October
AUR Strategic Alignment Grant
- To advance the long-range strategic organizational goals of the AUR by awarding one-year length grant(s) to applicants who address identified strategic priorities
- One or more grants, up to $35,000 (USD) in aggregate will be awarded.
- The maximum individual award may not exceed $35,000 for a one-year project.
- Applications by Residents and Fellows are encouraged but must list a co-principal investigator (mentor) who is a full AUR member.
- Applicants (the primary investigator) may only submit one grant application to the AUR Research and Education Foundation per year.
- Applicants must hold a M.D. degree (or equivalent), be board eligible or certified in radiology, and have received sufficient research training at pre- and/or postdoctoral levels to be capable of independent research.

RSNA Research Resident/Fellow Grant
- Provides trainees not yet professionally established in the radiologic sciences an opportunity to gain further insight into scientific investigation and to develop competence in research techniques and methods.
- $30,000 for a 1-year Research Resident project or $50,000 for a 1-year Research Fellow project, to be used for salary and/or non-personnel research expenses.
- Requires a minimum of 50% effort
- Application Deadline: Mid-January
Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award
- Recognizes and encourages trainees who have played an active role in radiologic research during the past year.
- Participating North American residency programs receive an award plaque with room for each year’s nominee. The Foundation provides a personalized award for the department to present to the selected resident or fellow.
- Application Deadline: Early April

- Only TWO nominees per institution will be accepted.
- One of the three awards may be given to a fellow.
- All attendees will receive a $1,000 educational grant only after attending all the required programs.
- President’s Award - $2,000 / Executive Council Awards - $1,000

- Purpose to introduce residents to academic radiology in the second year of their residencies (PGY3).
- A $1,000 award will be made to the departments of accepted applicants to be used to help advance the applicant’s academic career.

UAB Radiology Imaging Development Voucher Request
The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Radiology is committed to advancing patient care and public health through the use of cutting-edge imaging resources in support of innovative thinking, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and expertise in molecular, functional, and anatomic imaging and basic imaging sciences research.
To encourage and enhance imaging research, our Imaging Development Voucher Program provides up to $6,000 in direct funding support to investigators from across UAB to offset expenses for development time on CT scanners, MRI scanners (including the Highlands 3T), PET/MR, PET/CT, Small Animal Imaging modalities (9.4T MRI, Small Animal PET/CT, etc.), radiotracers, and associated radiology personnel fees.
