Ashley Barnes is responsible for coordinating and organizing clinical radiological data provided in connection with various oncology related research efforts. She follows participants/patients from recruitment through treatment, discharge and follow up to keep pertinent records and documentation. Her responsibilities extend to the data coordination and organization all clinical research studies. She received her Master’s in Health Informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems at The University of North Alabama. She worked as a PCT at UAB Highlands Medical Surgical Unit, a Cardiac Monitor Tech, and as a Data Manger and Clinical Research Study Coordinator at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her experience with oncology patients and clinical trials will help her serve as a liaison between primary investigators, clinical staff, and research support staff for the Department of Radiology. |

Leticia is responsible for organizing participant recruitment and enrollment, coordinating patient care, and follow-up appointments required by study protocols. She worked as a patient care technician on the postpartum and newborn nursery unit for 17 years and was a clinical research coordinator in Maternal Fetal Medicine and the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Leticia has a range of both clinical and lab experiences that help her serve as a liaison between primary investigators, clinical staff, and research support for the Department of Radiology. |

Lutfi is a bilingual (Arabic & English) born leader and is a skilled professional with over 10 years’ experience in customer service, administration, and advanced organizational leadership. Lutfi is responsible for the financial duties of a large and complex imaging division, monthly reconciliation of GA and GL project accounts, and managing outgoing subcontracts. She assists with the financial projections for GA and GL project accounts, with implementation of BA4. She manages external contract and federal subcontracts (review subcontract documents, make sure subcontracts are fully executed, process subcontract payments). She invoices for some studies/deposit revenues that come in from external services and expense studies in a timely manner. She identifies salary reclasses that need to be generated and check to see if completed. She is responsible for post-award management of grants/subcontracts to UAB/research agreements related to vendor compliance, contracting, invoicing, and A/R. She assists with managing grant portfolio related to grant submission tasks and maintaining faculty other support and other pre-award duties. |
