Why did you choose UAB?

UAB has always been special to me. My parents graduated from UAB and I was born at UAB Hospital. I appreciate the diversity at UAB and I love that everyone can be themselves with confidence.

Why did you choose your major?

I aspire to become a physical therapist, so after researching, Kinesiology-Exercise Science seemed to be the best fit. It has classes tailored to how the body moves. This information will help tremendously in the future!

What is your favorite thing about the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences?

I love that the SOEHS is inviting! The staff has been welcoming and supportive since I started at UAB.

What class have you enjoyed the most so far at UAB?

I enjoyed KIN 305, motor development. This was an interactive class where I was able to have a first hand experience with the motor development of children!

What piece of advice would you give a prospective SOEHS student?

Don’t compare yourself to others! Everyone is on their own journey, so get involved, get to know people, and make college your own great experience.

What are your plans after you graduate from UAB?

I plan to attend physical therapy school, to get my doctorate.
