National Recording Artist Khalid closed out UAB Spring Semester with mini-concert at HSC
More than 900 students, faculty, staff and visitors packed the Hill Student Center on Saturday, April 22 for food, drinks, swag and carnival-themed attractions as part of Springfest 2017, but the highlight of the night was the mini-concert by Billboard Top-10 recording artist Khalid.

UAB Campus Dining wants students, faculty, staff and visitors to be aware The Commons will be closed Summer 2017 for renovations. WOW Café will operate in its place as an all-you-care-to-eat cafeteria this summer, open to students with summer meal plans only.

Hammock park opens soon
A new hammock park, located near Rast Hall, will open just in time for students returning from Spring Break. The park, opening March 29, is a solution to the ever-growing use of portable hammocks around campus, which can damage young trees.
