The Department of Radiology at UAB welcomes you to learn more about our program.
We currently have 45 residents collectively in our Diagnostic Radiology and Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) programs. Each year, we match nine Diagnostic Radiology residents and two Integrated IR residents into our program.
Our residents go on to do well in competitive fellowships, academic careers, and private practices. Because of the high volume of studies performed at our institution and excellent teaching provided by our faculty, our residents are afforded exposure to all spectrums of radiology. This great training occurs in a very welcoming environment that encourages critical thinking, discussion, creative learning opportunities, mutual respect, and quality patient care.
