This curriculum is offered in a blended learning format.

The Master of Arts in Education in Special Education with Early Childhood Special Education Concentration prepares students to work with young children with delays or disabilities and their families in a variety of settings (early intervention, preschool, or K-3 settings).

Coursework takes a minimum of 39 semester hours to complete and includes courses in early intervention and preschool curriculum and methods, physical and health care support, communication facilitation, and technology applications as well as a practicum. Admissions Requirements

  • Candidates must have an earned Bachelor's or Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Candidates must hold a valid Professional Educator Certificate in a teaching field
  • 1-3 letters of recommendation
  • Faculty interview
  • The program accepts applications to begin study in the fall, spring, and summer terms
