The Master of Arts in Education in Special Education with Collaborative Teacher Concentration is designed for individuals who have a bachelor's degree in education and hold current Class B certification. 

Coursework takes a minimum of 33 semester hours to complete and includes courses in formative and summative assessment, IEP program and lesson planning, assistive and instructional technology, and positive behavioral supports as well as a practicum. Admissions Requirements

  • Candidates must have an earned Bachelor's or Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Candidates must hold a valid Professional Educator Certificate in a teaching field
  • 1-3 letters of recommendation 
  • Faculty interview
  • The program accepts applications to begin study in the fall, spring, and summer terms.
