Caroline LeBleu

Caroline LeBleu

Hello! My name is Caroline LeBleu. I am a member of Sigma Kappa, and I am from Suwanee, Georgia. I am a Freshman nursing major, minoring in Vocal performance. I decided to go through primary recruitment in the Fall of 2025 during my first semester of enrollment at UAB. Before I had decided to attend UAB, I had been hesitant to go through the recruitment process - but after attending Fall 2025 preview day and with the encouragement of my family, I decided to go through primary recruitment, and I am so glad I did! Going through primary recruitment has made my college experience so fulfilling. I truly love my Sigma Kappa sisters, and getting to know people through primary recruitment and seeing familiar faces is truly a great bonding experience. I have had the privilege since joining Sigma Kappa of serving as the Assistant Vice President of New Member Education, and I love getting to know new members and helping them through their new member experience and initiation! Overall, I am so glad I am a part of a sorority. I have truly made some of my best friends during my time within a sorority, and it is such a great way of getting involved on campus in many different capacities.

Kali Peek

Kali Peek

Hi! My name is Kali Peek, and I am a member of Alpha Omicron Pi! I am a UAB Majorette and a sophomore Biomedical Engineering student. I decided to rush during the fall semester of my freshman year through continuous open bidding because I was worried about making new friends in college. I always wanted to join a sorority but was hesitant at first because I knew I had a busy schedule. Also, because I am in such a male-dominated major, I wanted to surround myself with empowering and supportive women, which is why I am so thankful that I joined AOII! This organization has brought me so many friendships that will truly last a lifetime. Joining a sorority has given me so many new opportunities, experiences, and skills that I never would have received anywhere else. I have been fortunate enough to hold multiple leadership positions within AOII which have helped me become more confident and responsible. It is truly so special to be part of a sisterhood, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Bentley Black

Bentley Black

Hey!! My name is Bentley Black and I am a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. I am a Biomedical Sciences major on the Pre Med track, and I went through primary recruitment in the fall of my freshman year. During recruitment, I made so many friendships that have truly lasted far beyond that week. The girls I met during that time, along with the women in my chapter, have become some of my closest friends and biggest supporters. Going into recruitment, I was hoping to find a group of like minded, motivated women who would inspire me to be my best self, and that is exactly what I found in Alpha Gamma Delta. Every day, I am surrounded by women who push me to grow, encourage me to chase my goals, and support me in every area of my life, whether that is academically, personally, or professionally. Being part of this chapter has given me a sense of belonging that I will carry with me far beyond college. I truly love my chapter. It has given me some of the most meaningful experiences of my college career, unforgettable memories, and friendships that I know will last a lifetime. Alpha Gamma Delta has shaped me into a stronger version of myself. I would choose to do it again in every lifetime

Esther Kinyanjui

Esther Kinyanjui

Hey!! My name is Esther Kinyanjui, and I am a member of Delta Gamma and a Nursing major here at UAB! I decided to go through recruitment when I came to UAB because I knew it would be a great way to put myself out there in a new place, since many of my hometown friends chose other schools. I was worried about making new friends and adjusting to life in college when I already knew the area so well, but everything felt different. I grew up in the Birmingham area with UAB practically in my backyard, but getting to find a place where I got to make my own mark and find a community that fit me perfectly was the BEST decision I have made. I got to meet so many great girls who I am still friends with today—some I got to run home with, and some I have gotten to see flourish in other chapters! UAB Panhellenic led me to my home away from home and has opened so many doors for me through my sorority, such as the positions I have gotten to hold in helping new members find their place not only in my sorority, but at UAB as well. I have found my future bridesmaids at Delta Gamma—friends I can laugh, cry, and grow with. I have grown in confidence and skill in ways I never even imagined were possible, and I am forever indebted to Delta Gamma and all she has given to me, and truly, I would choose her in every lifetime.

Kevyn Jones

Sara Cromer

Hi, my name is Kevyn Jones, and I am a member of Kappa Delta! I am also a Cancer Biology major on the pre-medical track from Calhoun, GA. Coming to college, I was unsure if being a part of the panhellenic community was the right fit for me, as I was worried about managing academics, extracurriculars, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. Because of this, I chose not to go through primary recruitment and instead participated in COB among the various chapters at UAB. After having several conversations with girls in Kappa Delta, I quickly realized I had found a sisterhood that would push me to be the best version of myself. Being part of the Science and Technology Honors Program, involved in multiple organizations, and holding leadership roles has definitely pushed me to stay organized and manage my time well, but I’ve still been able to fully invest in my sorority experience. My sisters not only support me but also push me to succeed academically, they hold me accountable and encouraging me to stay on top of my goals. Whether we are studying together, checking in on each other, or celebrating each other's accomplishments, they’ve shown me the true value of having a strong support system. I’m so glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and surrounded myself with such incredible women I’m proud to call my sisters!
