All UAB campus staff are invited to attend the annual Fall Staff Picnic, hosted by Janet Woodruff-Borden, Ph.D., with the UAB Staff Council.
- When: Friday, October 23, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Where: Alys Stephens Center
- What: Chick-fil-a, cupcakes, and fellowship with university campus staff
Join us to hear Janet Woodruff-Borden, Ph.D. remarks at 11 a.m. outside of the entrance and then enter to enjoy a free lunch catered by Chick-fil-A with sandwich or salad while supplies last.
Things to keep in mind:
- You must be present to receive a meal.
- Only one meal is available per campus staff member.
- Inside seating is limited.
UAB Staff Council Chair Macy Jane Moon will be welcoming staff alongside Janet Woodruff-Borden, Ph.D.. “I am honored to welcome staff to the Fall Staff Picnic as we celebrate ten years of impact and achievement. This annual tradition provides a unique opportunity for employees from across campus to step away from their desks, foster new connections, and engage with colleagues from across the UAB community.”
Ten vendor tables will be set up on the Alys Stephens Center lower level to distribute swag items and share information about the services and perks available to UAB employees. Vendors showcasing campus and community resources will include UAB Arts, Benefits and Wellbeing, UAB Eye Care, and more!
Staff attending the picnic are encouraged to donate items for Take and Bake Cake Kits benefiting UAB Blazer Kitchen.
These items include:
- Boxed cake mix
- Canned icing
- Aluminum pans
- Canned sodas
- Birthday candles
