UWIRC Marchase Interdisciplinary Research Lecture Event

The Friends of Richard B. “Dick” Marchase, Ph.D., University-wide Interdisciplinary Research Centers (UWIRC) Interdisciplinary Research Lecture and Award was established in 2018 to support an event and faculty award that recognizes UAB’s role in leading and promoting nationally recognized interdisciplinary research in the spirit of camaraderie that Dr. Marchase personifies.

The Marchase Interdisciplinary Faculty Award winner receives a financial stipend and is honored at the annual UWIRC Marchase Interdisciplinary Research Lecture event. Awardees are chosen based on the extent to which their research program advances scientific discovery by interdisciplinary research teams and promotes a spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and fellowship.
