Division of Pediatric Surgery Associate Professor Robert Russell, M.D., MPH, has joined the editorial board of the Journal of Surgical Research: Clinical and Laboratory Investigation (JSR).

Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery John Holcomb, M.D., FACS, published “Damage control laparotomy in trauma: a pilot randomized controlled trial,” in the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Open journal.

Completing a medical degree requires four years of graduate work, from classroom time–studying, homework, and tests– to clinical rotations– observing in the clinic, shadowing in the hospital, or suturing in an operating room.
