The UAB Pancreatobiliary Disease Center (PDC) hosted the second annual Hops & Hope Fair on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Cahaba Brewing Company.
Over 50 attendees enjoyed an afternoon live music, carnival games, food trucks, and ice cream – all in an effort to raise awareness and proceeds for pancreatic and bile duct research and clinical treatment.
“We had a great turnout and enjoyed fun and fellowship with faculty, staff, and supporters of the PDC,” said PDC Director J. Bart Rose, M.D., MAS. “The event was an opportunity for us to reflect on why we do this work and how important it is to continue providing the best care for our patients across the state.”
The PDC is a life-saving resource for patients with diseases of the pancreas and bile duct, such as pancreatic cancer, acute pancreatitis, and cholangiocarcinoma. A multidisciplinary program, it provides cutting-edge care by offering access to innovative treatments and coordinating visits with experts, local physicians, and clinical nurse navigators.
