The spring meeting of the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) was held this past weekend in Gulf Shores, AL.

Two of our pediatric residents, Lauren Brewer, M.D., and Jessica Corners, M.D., presented “Lessons Learned: Characteristics and Trends from 20 years of Pediatric Sexual Assault Care in Birmingham, Alabama” with Kara Huls, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) medical director.
