The UAB Pediatric Residency Program hosted the 19th Annual Coat of Arms Spring Scramble 5K on Saturday, May 17 in downtown Homewood.
The race was a fabulous event with door prizes, music, dogs, and throwing pies at some faculty! There was a huge turnout, and we are so thankful to the residents, faculty, and staff who attended.
The Spring Scramble 5K raises funds for Coat of Arms to help promote the health and well-being of children in the Birmingham area, especially in underserved populations. Coat of Arms supports Birmingham’s children through local health fairs, Reach Out and Read initiatives promoting childhood literacy, UAB Blazer Kitchen partnership offering free meals to our families with food insecurity, infant safe sleep initiatives, and holiday gift drives.
