Neurosurgery May 15, 2025

Danielle Thomason, manager of ambulatory services for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery, will graduate in May with a Master of Science in Nursing degree. 

Balancing full-time leadership responsibilities while pursuing an advanced degree is no small feat. Thomason’s achievement reflects her strong commitment to professional development and her dedication to improving patient care. Earning an MSN will further enhance her clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities, benefiting both her team and the patients they serve.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received throughout this journey,” Thomason said. “Earning my MSN has deepened my understanding of health care delivery and I look forward to using these skills to support our team and improve the patient experience.”

Thomason’s graduation is a proud moment for the department and a testament to her drive, resilience and passion for nursing.
