ICAR and its integral partners — the UAB Nathan Shock Center and the UAB Alzheimer’s Disease Center — organize a large impact regionally advertised Aging Research Symposium. The symposium highlights the work of investigators in basic, translational, and clinical aging research. Our hope is to showcase fresh, stimulating ideas and provide an opportunity to develop new collaborative relationships that integrate multiple disciplines into the advancement of aging research.

Highlights from the 2019 Aging Symposium

The inaugural Aging Symposium was held in 2019 with over 300 national and international participants. The symposium is inclusive and truly embraces the spirit of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration, which led ICAR leadership to name it as The Integrative Aging Symposium — From Chromosomes to Communities.
