The curriculum is what lead me to choose the UAB CEM program. I was relatively new to the construction industry and felt like an imposter. The very valuable knowledge gained from the classes and from my groupmates have built my confidence.

I started the CEM program to expand my career and it has exceeded my expectations. I have gained valuable knowledge from every single course, and it is interesting to see how things that I learned in the classes keeps coming up in everyday life. Earning this degree was a big factor in negotiating my current salary because the amount was more than what the company had budgeted, but they could quickly see the value of this degree.

The CEM program paid off dividends from the beginning to the end. After taking only a few classes it opened doors and got me interviews that would have never happened. It has been a good experience for me.

Through the help of all of my professors and departmental staff, I have learned tremendously and it is easy to perceive that you all LOVE what you do at UAB. Thanks a million!

CEM was a great experience, especially with the opportunity to interact online with the vast differences in classmate ages, job positions, and general locations, as peers are scattered throughout the world. Also, looking at the numbers, the CEM program was ranked much better, and the courses lined up neck-to-neck. I loved being in the program at UAB. Although frustrating at times, I do not regret one bit the time and effort and expense I invested in myself. Every single day I use something that I learned from the program.

The knowledge, skills and abilities gained from the CEM degree program has been pragmatic in all aspects of my construction business. It also inspired me to expand plan to include program and project management services as part of my construction company portfolio. As a result, I entered an alliance with a larger firm, and we just landed a very large construction management contract. This would not be possible without my UAB experience.

The CEM program and the group assignments have introduced me to people that I will be friends with for the rest of my life.
