The CEM program has provided great project management skills and construction knowledge, as I plan my transition from military to civilian life after graduation.

Every class brought something positive to the table. Having hands-on access to the P6 Scheduling and Building Information Modeling software was just great. The program tested our perseverance and helped build professional character.

I selected UAB over other universities because the CEM program is prestigious, very well-known, and has a more affordable cost. Also, looking at the numbers, the CEM program was ranked much better, and the courses lined up neck-to-neck. UAB is an “Unforgettable” experience, an “Admirable” institution, and the “Beginning” of success and happiness.

To the entire staff and instructors, you have put together an outstanding program that really translates to the reality of the real world. The information and tools that we received can be put to use today and that is so valuable.

I have been fortunate to find a position that allows me to use and grow my knowledge that I received from this program. It has put me on the fast track to becoming a project manager.

An older superintendent told me to never stop learning if I wanted to advance in the construction industry. I had years of construction field knowledge, but I did not have much business or office experience. The CEM classes have been fantastic, expanded my knowledge, and also helped me build some outstanding professional contacts and relationships.

All of the classes are absolutely amazing. Even though they are construction management oriented, they truly apply to other fields like design, architecture, engineering, and landscape architecture. I am very grateful for the CEM program and super excited about the future.

I have been reaping the benefits from this CEM program since the first week. I added the pending UAB degree to my resume and say that action got me a lot of interviews and eventually my new job as a construction supervisor. Outside of the job position and financial benefits, completing this program has given me a great sense of pride.

Because of the classes in the CEM program, I have gained a greater confidence in the work that I do every day. My supervisor would agree, because some of the younger folks in our company are starting the CEM program right now. I learned from the CEM program that we manage processes, but we lead people. We also have a cycle that we go through; we explore, we experiment, and we evolve. The value of that exploration has allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone to experiment with more responsibility. I could not have evolved more while at UAB and I owe it all to this program.

Professionally, the CEM program has launched my career to amazing new heights. I was able to change jobs, acquire new responsibilities, and received several substantial pay raises. This has been an amazing and rewarding experience.

I cannot express how rewarding, yet challenging, the UAB CEM master's program actually is. It has given me the necessary skills to continue to evolve into a progressive forward-thinking project manager and has opened doors for advancement within my organization.

The CEM Program made me work and the professors truly challenged me. Being able to apply what I learned in the classroom into actual practice gives me confidence.

The knowledge, skills and abilities gained from the CEM degree program has been pragmatic in all aspects of my construction business. It also inspired me to expand plan to include program and project management services as part of my construction company portfolio. As a result, I entered an alliance with a larger firm, and we just landed a very large construction management contract. This would not be possible without my UAB experience.

The UAB CEM program has taught me to be a proud woman in construction while working in a male dominated field. Absorbing and applying the knowledge gained within the CEM Program has led me to experience an abnormal acceleration and promotion within my company.

What attracted me to the UAB CEM program was that all ten classes were real-world and relevant. The classes have made me more knowledge, confident, and productive, and I learned current software technology that was not available as an undergraduate.

Through the help of all of my professors and departmental staff, I have learned tremendously and it is easy to perceive that you all LOVE what you do at UAB. Thanks a million!

The CEM degree is not just a piece of paper, it represents the knowledge that I have obtained that will change my life forever. I am confident that I now have the necessary skills that gives me a competitive edge to lead, communicate, visualize, and problem solve.

I joined the CEM program to enhance my personal and professional development, and to assume a greater responsibility in my current field. I looked at similar programs from other colleges, but after doing a comparison I decided that the UAB program would better suite me.

The CEM program offers incredible an immeasurable value. It is not an accident that I am seeing such positive results and opportunities in my career.

I was recently hired by a very large general contracting company in Texas. They mentioned that the CEM program was an integral part of me being successful as a candidate. In addition, I will receive a pay increase after graduation next month.

Leaving the military and preparing to return to the civilian construction industry after almost eleven years, I knew that I would need to retool my construction knowledge to be competitive for employment.
