Leaving the military and preparing to return to the civilian construction industry after almost eleven years, I knew that I would need to retool my construction knowledge to be competitive for employment. The CEM program offered the online flexibility that I needed, and it covered the current relevant course material. I now have new tools and resources to help face the challenges required in the construction industry.
Our online education in Construction Engineering Management will be nationally recognized for excellence in providing working professionals with relevant, real world material, and the tools to succeed and help them differentiate themselves and positively impact their careers and the organizations they associate with in the built environment. The delivery methodology will be perfectly suited for working professionals and a leading model of professional education. The program will be a first choice for students pursuing an online degree.
Mission
Provide the most relevant, innovative, and comprehensive educational experience available for working professionals in the engineering and construction industry aimed to substantially improve their project management expertise. This will allow them to continuously succeed in their careers as managers, industry leaders, and community leaders. We will maintain ongoing communications with graduates to facilitate a strong network of alumni and to monitor their achievements, communicate job openings, and solicit feedback on course delivery and curriculum content.
Purpose
Our purpose is to deliver an exceptional learning experience to our students. Our challenge is to impress our students with responsiveness, delivery, and service. We are never satisfied! Our students matriculate to graduation and become part of the UAB family. Through exceptional education, we want all of our family members to reach their fullest potential.
