About the Program

With the dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Nursing (MBA / MSN), you can learn how to guide and affect change and gain applicable skills related to both business the rapidly evolving profession of nursing and health systems management. With courses in multiple specialty tracks for both business and nursing, you can gain invaluable transferrable skills for your career.

First, in MBA courses, you can learn high level business strategies at the managerial level. With courses like Topics in Corporate Finance, you can further understand special topics by utilizing case studies about topics like financial planning, working capital management, and leasing. You can also increase your knowledge on managerial decision making with Quantitative Analysis for Business Managers which covers multiple topics to help you gain analytical skills needed to make better business decisions. This course also emphasizes Microsoft Excel proficiency. In MSN courses, you can be prepared for advanced nursing practice and further understand a variety of roles in a health care system. With specific concentrations such as Dual Pediatric Acute and Primary Care, Women’s Health Care, or Clinical Nurse Leader, you can gain an advanced understanding of the communities you are interested in serving while simultaneously understanding your role as a leader in evolving profession of nursing. With this dual degree program, you can gain essential critical thinking skills in both business and healthcare.

The MSN program portion of this dual degree program offers 100% online courses with some in-person clinical requirements that can be completed in or outside of the state of Alabama. The MBA portion is offered on-campus with online and in-person courses.
