About the Program

You want to be the nurse who steps up in a crisis. The Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing is designed to prepare nurses with the knowledge to oversee emergency preparation and implement disaster management plans.

As part of this post-graduate certificate program, you’ll learn advanced knowledge and skills for evaluating and managing occupational health and safety programs, as well as learn the principles of toxicology, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, wellbeing, emergency management and disaster preparedness. Distinguish yourself by polishing your skills for dealing with unusual scenarios and preparing for future emergencies in this 100% online program. Though certification is not currently required, nurses who complete the optional certification exam may recognize themselves as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).
