Shaina graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Art Studio, proudly part of the very first UABTeach cohort. Her journey after graduation led her into the sports entertainment industry, where she spent several years at Topgolf excelling in operations and event sales. There, she became known for her leadership, mentorship, and ability to bring out the best in new team members.

She returned to UABTeach in Fall 2022 and now serves as the UABTeach Administrative Associate. In this role, she supports the heartbeat of the program—coordinating events, assisting students and faculty, managing daily operations, and ensuring the UABTeach experience feels welcoming, organized, and student-centered. With her creativity, initiative, and gift for organization, she adds both structure and spark to the team.

Outside of work, Shaina is an explorer at heart. Whether she’s hopping a flight to her next international destination or unwinding at home with her German Shepherd–Pit mix, Tabitha, she embraces life with curiosity, warmth, and a deep love for new experiences. She’s passionate about design, event planning, and creating spaces—both literal and community-centered—where people feel seen and supported.
