Reporting Hazing at UAB
All members of the UAB campus community have a responsibility to report hazing concerns in good faith. If you know of hazing that has occurred or is likely to occur, it is your duty to make a reasonable effort to report the incident immediately.
-
UAB Anti-Hazing Policy
Hazing is defined as any intentional or reckless act, on or off campus, by one person or a group of people that endangers the mental, emotional, or physical health or safety of a student, or that subjects a student to harassment, humiliation, intimidation, or ridicule as a condition of membership or participation in any student organization or university-affiliated activity.
Participation in or permitting hazing is strictly forbidden and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension, expulsion, or the revocation of university recognition for student organizations.
