Abstracts that have been accepted for presentation (poster or oral presentation) at the American Diabetes Association are reviewed for the UAB DRC-ADA Travel Award every year during the month of March. The award consists of up to $1,000 that can be requested for reimbursement to cover travel, lodging, and/or registration but not for food or incidentals.

This award helps support travel to the ADA National Scientific Meetings for approximately 10 graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who will be presenting their original research at these meetings.
