Register for OSP Training Sessions on myUABResearch

To prepare for the mid-December go-live date, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) will begin training sessions in November to prepare researchers and administrators to submit projects through myUABResearch. You can register in the Campus LMS for Zoom sessions. After attending the appropriate Zoom session, you can then register for a session in the computer lab in Cudworth if you would like to practice processes learned in Zoom sessions.

Training Sessions Available in November
The following sessions are available in November, and it is best to take these courses in the order listed below.
- OSP Overview of myUABResearch –
very brief introduction to getting around in the system (if you have not seen it yet) to prepare you for other training sessions.
eLearning course is available in the Campus LMS.
Zoom Webinars Available
- Creating and Submitting Funding Proposals in myUABResearch –
all funded projects will have a funding proposal in the system in the Grants module, and you will know how to create and submit a funding proposal to OSP after attending this session - Creating and Updating SF424s for system-to-system submission in myUABResearch –
after creating a funding proposal in the system, you will create/update an SF424 form set if you are submitting system-to-system through Grants.gov, and you will know how to work with the SF424 forms in the system when you attend this session
Prerequisite: Creating and Submitting Funding Proposals Zoom session - Creating and Submitting Agreements or Subawards in myUABResearch –
in the Agreements module, you will create/submit agreements, subawards, and amendments for routing/tracking in the system, and you will know how to do so after attending this session - Managing Awards in myUABResearch –
awards will be managed in the Awards module – in this session, you will learn how to do budget reconciliations, request award modifications, and manage award deliverables in the Awards module
On-campus Computer Lab Sessions
The following in-person computer lab sessions are available in November. It is an opportunity for you to practice what you learned in Zoom sessions. Be sure to attend the appropriate Zoom session before attending a lab session.
- In-person computer lab - practice creating and submitting a sample funding proposal
