Pre- and post-doctoral trainees are selected on a rolling admissions basis as new positions open.

• Pre-doctoral Fellowship: Pre-doctoral fellows must already be accepted into the PhD program in Nursing at UAB, and must have completed qualifying exams. Both non-nurses and nurses with a Bachelor's degree or higher are eligible as predoctoral nursing research trainees.
• Post-doctoral Fellowship: Post-doctoral fellows must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing and a research doctoral degree (e.g., PhD or equivalent) from an accredited university. If a prior T32 fellowship has been completed, note that a postdoctoral fellow can receive a maximum of total three years of support from NIH T32 grants.
• Residency: Documentation of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required for all trainees.
