The Department of Pathology Service Excellence Award recognizes an outstanding faculty or staff member whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment to service have made a meaningful impact on the department throughout the year.
Each year, department leadership will select one recipient in recognition of exceptional service excellence, demonstrated through outstanding support of colleagues, contributions to departmental initiatives, commitment to collaboration, and dedication to advancing the mission and values of the Department of Pathology.
Unlike awards based on a formal nomination process, this recognition is awarded based on visible, sustained, and actionable contributions observed throughout the year. Recipients are identified by department leadership for consistently demonstrating excellence in service, a willingness to go above and beyond, and a positive impact on the department's operations, culture, and success.
The award recipient will receive:
- A commemorative plaque
- Written recognition of their achievement
- Recognition at the Department of Pathology Annual Awards Reception held each November
