Forging the Future of Palliative Care Innovation Summit

This call is open until March 20, 2026.

We are now accepting abstracts to be considered for a concurrent session and poster sessions at the Forging the Future of Palliative Care 2026 Innovation Summit, taking place August 26-29, 2026, in Gulf Shores, AL.

The abstract call is open to palliative care, pediatric palliative care, and hospice professionals across all settings and career stages, including early career and professionals in training. Selected content is intended to enrich palliative care, hospice, education, research, and practice, and should be appealing and applicable to a wide audience.

Submission categories include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Topics in palliative care, pediatric palliative care, hospice

Forging the Future of Palliative Care 2024 Innovation Summit focuses on culture, communication, and care in the American South. Palliative, pediatric, and hospice care topics centered within these lenses (or areas) will be prioritized for consideration.

Potential Presentation Length & Format

A typical concurrent session is scheduled for 1 hour; 45 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for Q&A. Potential format includes featured practice/insight talks, paper presentations, moderated panel discussions, or clinical/case roundtable discussions. Upon acceptance, final details of format and length will be provided.

• Presenter name(s) & role
• Background, objectives, methods, outcomes, implications (less than 350 words)

Review and Notifications

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Summit Programmatic Committee. Notification of abstract status will be sent via email the week of April 20, 2026 to the submitting author listed on the abstract.

If an abstract is accepted, all podium-presenting faculty will receive FREE registration to the Summit. *Please note that this is limited to one presenter per submission.
