The Department of Pathology is pleased to announce a new faculty member joining our team, effective August 17.
Krisztina Zita Lengyel, M.D., is joining the Division of Women’s Health as an assistant professor. She joins us from Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Medicine, where she served as a gynecologic pathology fellow since 2025.
Lengyel earned her medical degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, in 2016. She completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Emory University School of Medicine in 2025, serving as chief resident her final year.
As a trainee, Lengyel served as an instructor at Emory teaching reproductive disorders, hematology, and gynecologic histology to medical students and trainees. She has given eight abstract and oral presentations and has authored six publications. Lengyel is affiliated with several professional societies, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
