Meet Our Division Director

Kondal Kyanam Kabir Baig, MD

Kondal Kyanam Kabir Baig, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine and director of the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship program, is the Division Director for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at UAB. His top priorities include expanding the division's clinical, educational, and research programs to meet the needs of Alabamians and beyond. His central career interest is general endoscopy and advanced endoscopy, including diagnostic and therapeutic endosonography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), pseudocyst, necrosis, and abscess drainage, and endoscopic removal of large polyps and early cancers, as well as therapy for Barrett's esophagus and cancer.
