Elements of the Application
Overview of the process:
- First, you need access to our system.
- If you have a Blazer ID and password, you may already have access. If you are working with us a joint provider and are part of another organization, you will need to create an account.
- Once there, you'll see a left navigation menu showing all major components of the application for which you must supply information:
- Basic Information
- Activity details including name, description, format, time and location, and type of credit requested
- Your department or organization and intended audience
- Planners and Faculty
- Identify the activity planners and provide disclosures
- Anyone in control of content must disclose all financial relationships with commercial interests. There are a couple ways to do this, and we explore this further in the section detailing financial disclosure requirements

- Gaps and Needs
- We need you to define and document the educational need, or practice gap, on which the activity is based. This is a substantial topic, and we provide more detail in the unit on needs assessment.
- Objectives and Learning Outcomes
- When you identify learning objectives and intended competency changes for your activity it helps determine the content that should be included, the design and structure of the activity, and the type of assessment (if needed) that you might use to evaluate your activity.

- Commercial Support
- The funding section will ask you to identify any commercial support, non-commercial support , and revenues generated from exhibitors.
- Payment
- The CME application fee can be paid by account number (internal); check and credit card payments are available for external partners.
