Prevention & Wellness

Prevention and Wellness is one of the ways Live HealthSmart Alabama supports healthy choices. As one of our program’s four keys, we work to enhance healthcare by facilitating screenings, educations, and counseling to communities across the state.

Wellness Screenings

Mobile Wellness

The Mobile Wellness unit is focused on one goal: making good health simple. With this service, Live HealthSmart Alabama brings comprehensive health screenings—at no cost—to your community.

Pop-Up Wellness

In areas without a Mobile Wellness van, our team sends dedicated professionals and community coaches to conduct screenings. So, whether residents are attending events at our mobile unit or our pop-ups hosted in collaboration with local organizations, they can rest assured they are receiving the same level of detailed care and attention.

Screenings: How do they work?

At both our Mobile Market and Pop-up Wellness events, we identify what your body needs to stay healthy and show you how to make positive lifestyle changes. If any of your numbers are out of normal range, we’ll recommend the next steps in your healthcare journey. In just 15-minutes, you’ll know your numbers for height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and other health risks.

Community Coaches

Live HealthSmart Alabama Community Coaches work alongside our team to improve the health of Alabama residents. Community Coaches are a bridge between us and the communities we serve. This important role works to improve our state’s overall health by helping people seek regular medical care, develop healthy eating habits, and increase physical activity.
