With this undergraduate degree, you’ll finish with the skills and knowledge that will position you for passing your certification exam and to gain employment in a variety of healthcare laboratory settings.

UAB has offered a master’s degree in laboratory science for many years, so there is already an established team of faculty members and advisors in place to help you be successful at the bachelor’s level. Plus, as an undergraduate, you’ll have more access to academic financial resources than what may be available to graduate students. If you want to continue your education in medical school or a graduate degree program, the Medical Laboratory Science program is structured to make that transition easy.
