CEI SymposiumThe CEI Symposium is a day-long, multifaceted event focused on healthcare and health issues that affect our communities. This event examines the importance of why and how community engagement and collaboration are effective in social/behavioral research and essential in community building practices. Weaving together plenary sessions, keynote speakers, poster sessions, break-out discussions and networking opportunities, the CEI Symposium provides multiple ways to get involved and to build collaboration.

Breaking the Boundaries Symposium


We’re excited to share that this year’s Community Engagement Institute (CEI) Symposium will join forces with the Breaking the Boundaries Symposium for a dynamic two-day event, taking place June 9–10, 2025 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans. Traditionally a day-long, multifaceted conference focused on health issues affecting our communities, the CEI Symposium examines why and how community engagement and collaboration are vital in social/behavioral research and in building thriving communities.

By uniting the CCTS Community Engagement Institute's emphasis on community involvement with the cross-sector approach of Breaking the Boundaries, participants will have expanded opportunities to:

  • Explore innovative strategies for improving health outcomes

  • Build new partnerships that can lead to impactful, real-world solutions
