Martez Files, the undergraduate speaker for the Fall 2014 UAB College of Arts and Sciences commencement ceremony, graduated with a BA in History and a BA in African American Studies.
Describing himself as a "poor black kid from Pratt City," Martez took the opportunity to inspire his fellow graduates, their families and friends, and perhaps most importantly his four-year-old nephew. Watch the video below, or on YouTube.
