Kurata Named Associate Professor Emerita of English

The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Marilyn J. Kurata, as associate professor emerita in the Department of English during its meeting on Nov. 2, 2012. Kurata joined the UAB faculty in 1978 and has served as director of core curriculum enhancement since 2005, among other administrative appointments. She received the UAB President’s Diversity Award for Faculty in 2012.
