Dr. Yookyong Lee, associate professor in the Department of Social Work, has been named director of the Bachelor of Social Work program.
Dr. Lee joined the UAB faculty in 2013 and has quickly developed a reputation for being a passionate educator and dedicated advocate for students, both as a classroom instructor and as a leader in implementing the cutting-edge practices that have become a hallmark of our program.
“Dr. Lee has many important ideas for developing our BSW program and extending our reputation as an outstanding teaching program,” says Dr. David Pollio, chair of the department. “I look forward to her joining our administrative team, and I feel confident that our undergraduate program will continue to flourish under her leadership.”
Dr. Lee’s appointment begins immediately.
