
Kempin Reuter received her Ph.D. in International Relations and International Law from the University of Zurich in 2006, graduating magna cum laude. She received her M.A. in contemporary history, economic policy and international law from the University of Zurich in 2002.
She is a native of Switzerland and is a member of the American Society for International Law, the European Society for International Law, the American Political Science Association, the International Studies Association and the Hampton Roads World Affairs Council.
“We are fortunate to have Dr. Kempin Reuter join us as we launch operations for the UAB Institute for Human Rights,” said Dean Robert Palazzo.“The combination of her scholarship in international law and peace studies, her international experience and perspective, her detailed knowledge and experience with international organizations involved in human rights deliberations, together with her administrative skill and understanding of university operations will enable her to move the Institute for Human Rights to international prominence in a short time.”
