Turtle Copters, Lifesaving Drones Launch Graduate School’s Discoveries in the Making Series

For Jehan Perera and Imansha Madhushan, the journey to the UAB began thousands of miles away in Sri Lanka. Today, the two PhD candidates in UAB’s Department of Chemistry are conducting research that could help advance an emerging approach to cancer treatment known as Targeted Alpha Therapy (TAT).

Through Theatre UAB’s established touring program and partnerships with schools across Alabama, “Red Flags” will bring conversations about healthy relationships and prevention directly to students and communities statewide.

Participants represent all schools that conduct clinical trials at the university. The CTDP is part of a strategic effort to maintain UAB’s remarkable growth in this area and offer the benefits of trials to more Alabamians.
