The UAB Department of History was proud to host two Freedom Riders — Catherine Brooks-Burk and Ameen Rasheed Tuungane — who spoke to students and faculty about how their actions helped change the South — and history. Dorothy Walker, site director for the Freedom Rides Museum, also spoke. Pictures of the event, which was sponsored by the Department of History and the Rita C.
