The UAB Office of Access & Engagement, in partnership with the Birmingham Promise Scholar Program and the Office of Student Engagement and Enrichment, is proud to host The Birmingham Connection, a celebration of the deep and lasting connection between UAB and Birmingham City Schools.
The celebration will feature a Birmingham City School alumni panel discussion, followed by a community mixer. The Birmingham Connection aims to celebrate and strengthen the pathway that connects Birmingham City School students to UAB - honoring those who have completed the journey while inspiring those still on it. This event highlights the university's commitment to creating pathways for students from the classroom to meaningful careers and engagement.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the UAB National Alumni House.
