On receiving this award, Glasgow stated, “Receiving the UAB Young Alumni Rising Star Award is incredibly meaningful because it recognizes alumni who are making a significant impact early in their careers. To be counted among that group of people is truly humbling. This honor reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and a deep commitment to advancing nuclear medicine and improving patient care.”

The UAB Young Alumni Rising Star Award is presented to five graduates 40 years old or younger who show outstanding career achievement and are committed to UAB and the NAS.

“My journey has not always been easy,” Glasgow stated, “but every late night, every challenge, and every breakthrough has been worth it. To now serve as both an alumna and faculty member, mentoring the next generation of imaging and therapeutic professionals, feels like the most rewarding part of it all. This award reminds me that passion, persistence, and purpose can create something lasting not just for yourself, but for those who follow after you."
