Participants between the ages of 35 and 65 are needed for this study. The purpose of the study is to fill in what we don’t know about how schizophrenia affects people as they get older. We want to find out what we can do to help older individuals with schizophrenia live better lives. The study includes 4 visits over the course of two weeks. The screening visit will take 2 hours. The first study visit will take 3 hours. The second study visit will take 2 hours. The third study visit will take 9 hours. This study will include: a clinical interview, cognitive batteries, questionnaires and assessments related to your daily and psychiatric functioning, two 90 minute MRI scans of your brain, a fasting blood draw, and a urine drug screen and pregnancy test (for females). This study aims to characterize social cognition and motivation in HIV and to determine the effect of social cognition and motivation on quality of life in HIV.

- Are you 18-60 years of age living with HIV, and want to be a part of a vaccine study?
- Is your viral load suppressed/undetectable?
- Are you able to receive a vaccine?
- Are you generally healthy?
- Are you willing to temporarily stop taking antiretrovirals?
You may qualify for a study looking at testing an experimental HIV vaccine with an experimental adjuvant to see how the immune responses change among participants who do an antiretroviral analytical treatment interruption (ATI) compared to those who do not. Help us find out by participating in the PRECISION-BP research study investigating the effects of Sacubitril/Valsartan or Valsartan on your body’s 24-hour rhythm of a hormone in your blood called natriuretic peptides. This hormone and the study medications are related to the heart. Eligible participants must be obese (BMI: 30-45 kg/m2) men and women, have high blood pressure, and have no history of heart or kidney problems. The study involves wearing a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours, 24-hour inpatient visits at UAB Hospital, taking medications, and collecting blood and urine samples. Meals will be provided at no cost. Participants will be compensated $575 for completing the study visits. - 18-75 years old
- No diagnosis of any neurological disorders or psychiatric problems
- No history of problematic drug/alcohol use in the last 3 months

To participate in this research, you must:
- be 11 to 18 years old
- have no diagnosed medical conditions
- have a parent/guardian available to participate in lab visits
