Both the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital and UAB Medicine’s acute and ambulatory clinics were cited for achieving Level 8 status in CHIME’s 2025 Digital Health Most Wired survey.
Among the more than 50,000 facilities represented, UAB Medicine distinguished itself by ranking above peers in key focus areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement, and innovation. The survey evaluates the adoption maturity, outcomes and value of technology integration across health care organizations at all stages of digital maturity — from early phase digitization to advanced transformation.
