Holiday Soul with Eric Essix + Five Men returns to UAB’s Alys Stephens Center on Dec. 12

Atlanta super group Five Men returns to the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center stage by popular demand for an encore Holiday Soul performance on Sunday, Dec. 12, with a special “Meet the Artist” appearance for students on Monday, Dec. 13.

Eric Essix and Atlanta super group Five Men will return to the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center stage by popular demand for an encore Holiday Soul performance on Sunday, Dec. 12. Holiday Soul offers patrons an experience full of harmonious holiday spirit and soulful songs to usher in the winter season.   

The performance begins at 7 p.m. at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, Jemison Concert Hall. General admission tickets are $39. To purchase, call 205-975-2787 or visit AlysStephens.org.

The original members featuring founder and poet Hank Stewart, saxophonist Antonio Allen, vocalist Leonard Julien, trumpeter Melvin Miller, and guitarist Eric Essix are joined by a full rhythm section performing soulful arrangements of holiday favorites, jazz and R&B, and spoken word.

Additionally, a free “Meet the Artist” series performance for area schoolchildren will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, from 10-11 a.m. Students must register for this exciting performance.
