The UAB Department of Otolaryngology honored its 2025 graduating residents and fellows with a celebration and awards ceremony on June 20 at Avenue D. Events. The evening featured a welcome by Justin Turner, M.D., Ph.D., chair and John S. Odess Endowed Professor, awards, roasts, and more. Specifically, awards were given for Faculty of the Year, Staff of the Year, and Resident of the Year for 2025.
The awardees for 2025 were Ryan Coleman, R.N., for Staff of the Year; Phil Rosen, M.D., for Faculty of the Year; and Timothy Graham Norwood, M.D., for Resident of the Year.
"Each year, we have the honor of witnessing a new generation of otolaryngologists complete their training with us, whether through residency or fellowship, and move on to the next phase of their careers," said Benjamin Greene, M.D., residency program director in the UAB Department of Otolaryngology. "We all love watching the residents and fellows do great things for the field. I am confident that this recent cohort of graduates will continue this tradition and go on to make positive impacts in our field, while carrying with them the legacy of the UAB Department of Otolaryngology.
