Burt Nabors, M.D., professor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurology and director of the Division of Neuro-oncology, has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Engagement Award from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).
This national award recognizes Nabors outstanding commitment to advancing care for patients with central nervous system cancers. Through decades of leadership in neuro-oncology, Nabors has helped elevate clinical standards and provide essential resources to support physicians facing complex treatment decisions.
The NCCN is a not-for-profit alliance of 33 leading cancer centers dedicated to improving and facilitating quality, effective and accessible cancer care. Each year, the award honors individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted the network’s mission of continuous quality improvement in cancer care delivery.
