Bio

Danner Butler grew up in Mobile, AL. He attened Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, where he majored in biochemistry with a minor in mathematics. Danner was an 800-meter runner on the track and field team. After college, he attended medical school in his hometown of Mobile. He knew he wanted to pursue a career in neurosurgery after the UAB neurosurgery team saved his father's life in a car wreck 12 years ago. Danner is thankful for the opportunity to train at the same institution that provided his father such excellent care. Outside of medicine, Danner enjoys fly fishing and playing the guitar, and he used to be a guide in Wyoming and Colorado.
